Budapesten élő nemzetközileg elismert illusztrátor. Élénk, humoros és nosztalgikus stílusa egyszerre idézi a retró esztétikát és a pop-art játékosságát. Erdélyben született, tizenhat éves kora óta él Budapesten. 2007 óta a világ vezető lapjainak – többek között a The New York Times, a The New Yorker és a Rolling Stone magazinok – felkérésére készített már illusztrációt, de megrendelői között szerepel a Sydney Operaház vagy az AS Monaco futballcsapata is. Munkáiban a kézi rajz és a digitális festés keveredik egymással, Budapest a mai napig inspirálóan hat rá, de gyermekkori emlékei és a kelet-európai vizuális kultúra sajátosságai is visszaköszönnek illusztrációin.
Lehel Kovács
Lehel Kovács is an internationally acclaimed illustrator based in Budapest. His vibrant, humorous, and nostalgic style evokes both retro aesthetics and the playfulness of pop art. Born in Transylvania, he has lived and worked in Budapest since the age of sixteen. Since 2007, he has been creating illustrations for some of the world’s leading publications – including The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Rolling Stone magazine – while his clients also include the Sydney Opera House and the AS Monaco football team. His works combine hand-drawing with digital painting. Budapest continues to be a source of inspiration for him, while his childhood memories and the distinctive qualities of Eastern European visual culture also reflected throughout his illustrations.
